HORMEL FOODS

Founded in 1891 by George A Hormel, Hormel Foods Corporation is a Fortune 500 company that manufactures high-quality, brand-name food and meat products globally. Hormel has mastered the art of preserving meat and created the first canned ham in 1926. Since then, this small town company with deep roots has widened their portfolio to include no less than 53 Brands (including Applegate Farms, Columbus Salami, La Victoria, Jennie-O, Justin’s, Muscle Milk, Skippy, just to name a few) and 10 wholly owned subsidiaries.

DESIGN OBJECTIVE: 
Develop a new graphic expression of Hormel Foods Corporation.

PROJECT CONCEPT:
The Hormel Foods Corporation is the tried and true company among brands in the global food and meat industry because of its innovation, quality, and longevity. It’s new logo expression must retain it’s approachable, familiar, and trusted attributes.
